Fluctuating between photographic subjectivity and the documentary, his work is anchored in the geography of places. Journeys, in both the figurative and literal sense, are an integral part of his creative process.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Selected last March by Rencontres for his project \u201c<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Hutton ou la fin des terres\u201d* (Hutton, or the End of the Earth), he will be spending three weeks in the Gasp\u00e9 to deliberate on the connections between geology and territory. \u201cIn considering the notion of landscape from the angle of natural history,\u201d he explains, \u201cthe images produced in the context of this project will reflect the various ways (economic, recreational, scientific, etc.) of exploiting the landscape, of living in it and evolving in it. Photography will make it possible to accumulate and gather together the evidence of our current relationship with the territory and the landscape by demonstrating the effect these have on our society.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The artist also holds that in this photographic mosaic, the dialogue among the images will be kindled by their eclecticism. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span lang=\"en-US\">\u201c<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The photographs, portraits (scientists, tourists, residents, workers, etc.), landscapes (mountains, rivers, cliffs, mines, caves, etc.) and details (minerals, rock formations, fossils, etc.), will play the role of temporal markers, indicating how, in our time, we deal with the Qu\u00e9bec landscape and its geological occurrences.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #1d2129\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span lang=\"en-US\">After working in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sepaq.com\/pq\/mig\/index.dot?language_id=1\">Nouvelle-Miguasha<\/a> area, he will head to <a href=\"http:\/\/ville.perce.qc.ca\/\">Perc\u00e9<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ville.gaspe.qc.ca\/\">Gasp\u00e9<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pc.gc.ca\/eng\/pn-np\/qc\/forillon\/index.aspx\">Forillon National Park<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.murdochville.com\/en\/home\">Murdochville<\/a>.
