As part of a Franco-Qu\u00e9bec exchange between the regions of <\/span><\/span><\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Vend\u00e9e<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><b> <\/b><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">and the<\/span><\/span><\/span><b> <\/b><strong><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Gasp\u00e9<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">, she was in Forillon National Park from April 13 to\u00a021, 2016, to carry out a research project on \u201cthe memory work undertaken by the Regroupement\u00a0de personnes expropri\u00e9es de Forillon [Alliance of people expropriated in Forillon], their descendants and Parks Canada.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u201c\u2026<span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">the panels set up at the entrance to the trails together with the interviews collected convey with deep emotion the lifestyles and the relationships between the people,\u201d states the artist. \u201cThey faithfully express history as it happened and the lives of those who lived through it. My project will be complementary to the work already done.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Appeal for participants<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Camille Hervouet has launched a story-collecting project with the local population. Her aim is to \u201cgather <\/span><\/span><\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">descriptions of the homes and of their surroundings from residents [of Forillon] and their descendants <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">and, with their consent\u2026present the data sheets and the photographs taken during the expropriations. That will make it possible for spectators\/readers to follow what is described at the sites and to create for themselves, based on the words, a picture of what has been.\u2009\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Her story-collecting runs until June 30, 2016.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The descriptions can be emailed directly to <\/span><\/span><\/span><a href=\"mailto:camillehervouet.contact@gmail.com\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">camillehervouet.contact@gmail.com<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\"> or to <\/span><\/span><\/span><a href=\"mailto:info@photogaspesie.ca\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">info@photogaspesie.ca<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">. They can also be sent by regular mail to Rencontres staff, who will forward them to Camille Hervouet.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The artist will be offering each participant a 13 x 18\u00a0cm (5 x 7 inch) print of a landscape photo that she\u2019s taken in Forillon National Park. In addition, each one will receive a partnership agreement specifying the conditions governing use of the material and guarantying respect for their rights, and will be notified of each exhibition.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Instructions for descriptions<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">&#8211; Write out photo descriptions by hand or on the computer, on 1 or 2 pages maximum.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">&#8211; Note down a title: \u201cMy house, \u201cX\u2019s\u2009house,\u201d \u201cHouse located at\u2026\u2009\u201d or another title of your choosing.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">&#8211; Begin by describing the exterior of the house: size, shapes, colors, construction materials.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">&#8211; Then describe the number of rooms, their layout, indoor materials (walls, floors\u2026).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">&#8211; Mention the general appearance of the building, its distinctive features.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">&#8211; Describe the furniture, the objects.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">&#8211; Touch on the surrounding landscape.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Further content that strikes you as interesting and that you feel like sharing in connection with the photographs may be added.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The exhibition of Camille Hervouet\u2019s project will be presented this summer in Vend\u00e9e, while <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">an exhibit in the Gasp\u00e9 will take place in summer 2017<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\"> during the <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">8th edition of Rencontres<\/span><\/span><\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">, <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span lang=\"en-US\">at Forillon National Park.
